It has been announced today that The London Community Foundation is part of a collaborative effort to provide financial support to those who have been directly impacted by the Grenfell Tower fire.

Initial payments of £20,000 will be made available to the next of kin for each person who has died or declared missing and presumed deceased. Up to £10,000 will be made available to each person who has been seriously injured and requires hospital treatment.

This initial distribution will be funded from donations to the British Red Cross London Fire Relief Fund, the K&C Foundation and The London Community Foundation and distributed by the London Emergencies Trust.

People who are eligible to receive these payments can call the British Red Cross helpline on 0800 458 9472.
